Is there really such a thing as free money? The broadband stimulus legislation that was signed into law in February provides for over $7 billion in funds for broadband deployment, with most of the funds available in the form of grants. Two agencies – NTIA and RUS – are responsible for allocating the funds. This presentation will explore various opportunities for NYSTA member companies to obtain the funds, provide guidance on how to apply for the broadband grants and assist companies in developing a strategy to ensure that they are in the best position to obtain the grants.
