Kathy Hobbs of Windsteam was elected as Chair of the NYSTA Board of Directors at its 91st Annual meeting held June 4-6. Hobbs has been with Windstream for 29 years and currently serves as Vice President of State Government Affairs for New York and five other states, including Ohio, Maine, Michigan, New Hampshire, Indiana. She succeeds Brian Ketchum of Empire Telephone Corp. Other officers elected include Jim Becker of Middleburgh Telephone Company and CEO of ION as Vice Chairman; Paul Griswold, President and CEO of Ontario and Trumansburgh Telephone companies and Finger Lakes Technology Group as Secretary; and Tom Murray, Director of State Government Affairs for TDS as Treasurer.
